Biography

I have a background in bodywork, Chinese Medicine and Qigong.

My interest in health and healing goes back to the early 1980’s when I studied meditation in Asia and had many insights into the power our mind and body has to heal and transform itself. This gave me the desire to discover ways that this could help others and eventually after various studies in the USA I returned to the UK and trained in Chinese Acupressure in 1989-91. I moved to South Devon and co-founded the Centre for Oriental Medicine in Totnes in 1992 and begun teaching Qigong in 1995.

In both my bodywork practice and in Qigong teaching I experienced some fundamental principles of healing at work that transcended the ‘forms’ that were being offered and I became interested in finding something that engaged these principles more directly. This was when I first met Franklyn Sills, who is a world known inspiration in the field of health and healing and one of the pioneers in the Biodynamic approach to Craniosacral Therapy. In 1996-97 I trained in Craniosacral Therapy with Franklyn at the Karuna Institute and have had a busy private practice in Dartington and Exeter since then. I have been teaching at Karuna since 2004 and am honoured to be involved in the ongoing evolution of the Biodynamic approach to Craniosacral Therapy.

I feel very honoured to work as a practitioner of such a deeply powerful form of bodywork and have witnessed many remarkable transformations and healings over these last 20 years. For me it is both truly humbling and inspiring the potency we each hold within us to resolve both chronic and acute conditions. More than this is the possibility of living life to the full, from a place of ease and nourishment, engaging in this extraordinary dance of life.

I offer a gentle, compassionate and clear approach to health, through supporting your body’s natural capacity to heal and resolve illness and dis-ease.
